Description

Have a mini in your life that would rock a chunky knit like a pro?! We couldn't resist making a kids version of the textured masterpiece designed by Jess aka The Unraveller for The Joy Make Club. Make sure to check out the adults version if you're up for a bit of matchy-matchy!

Style

The Blossom jumper is a slightly cropped, relaxed fit knit that includes a mock turtle neck, contrasting colours and super cute bubble sleeves. The body of the jumper is knit flat from the bottom up and seamed together using mattress stitch. The sleeves are knit in the round using bubble stitch. There will be instructions if you would like to make this jumper a longer length.

Sizes

Level

Confident beginner. While this jumper may be a total head turner - it actually  uses simple stitches and is knit flat from the bottom up. To finish, the jumper is sewn together and circular needles are introduced for the collar and sleeves - but never fear! We’ll be with you all the way.

Time

12-16 hours

Skills you’ll master

Cast on, 1x1 rib, knit, purl, knit two together, shaping a neckline, picking up stitches, knitting in the round, Bubble Stitch, cast off, horizontal and vertical invisible seaming, weaving in edges

Love our Blossom

We love our Blossom Jumper! I decided to do it all one colour which I am so happy about- it’s all about the pattern and texture. The pattern was simple and easy to follow and I found the videos on how to do the bubble sleeves really helpful. This is our 2nd kit and can’t wait to do another :-)
