The Joy Make Club

Seriously easy! Knitted for my toddler and starting the next one for my baby. Kit was straight forward and the wool is lovely. Have even had requests from family for a styley beanie! Love it.

This beanie is so cute!! It has really straight forward instructions and the supporting video helps to explain it all so well. I really enjoyed making this and have bought 2 more kits since!! It's slightly addictive - so be warned!!

I love this beanie kit so much I’ve already ordered enough yarn to make three more!
This was my first attempt at knitting in the round and the videos in the kit made it so easy.
I made the toddler size and it fits my nearly 2 year old perfectly. I added a pompom (not included in the kit) for extra cuteness.

Love this pattern. Looks great and good practice for my knitting.
Now to make it in other colours

This colour is so bright and the yarn of course is super soft. There was enough for a fisherman’s beanie in size 2 and a Happy Scrappy crown in the child’s size. Super happy with yet another gorgeous knit!

I made the Fisherman’s Beanie for the first time with the sticky toffee merino yarn in size 2 for my toddler. Lots of mistakes and trying again and again but have made 2 more since in other colours. Definitely my fave beanie kit!

This was really fun and also challenging to make in terms of getting the rib right and remembering when to knit and when to purl! (I am a newbie knitter). This was my first kit and it gave me so much practice for doing rib stitch that I feel really confident with it now. I loved the experience, made heaps of mistakes and also had great email support from Marnie.

I used this colour to knit the Kool Kids beanie in a smaller size to fit my toddler, and there was enough yarn left over to make a Happy Scrappy crown from the pattern in the monthly newsletter. Such a fun colour!

This merino yarn is so beautifully soft. I managed to get a toddler size Fisherman’s beanie (size 2) and an acorn beanie (approx size 6mnth-1yr) out of one ball!

This chunky merino came up so well in a crochet scarf.

Absolutely in love with my cardi! Took me about 4 days (3-4hrs a day) while on holiday to complete the bulk of it- I still need to add the pockets but couldn’t wait to wear it :-)
So happy with my colour choices. Hardest part for me was the edging and getting used to the circular needles. Marnie’s videos were super helpful and I can’t wait to start my next project x

I’ve tried a few knit kits and this was the most ambitious but I found it easy enough to knit in 2 weeks while recovering from surgery
The instructions are easy and clear to follow and Marnz is always super helpful
Love the blue colour, now just to wait for cooler weather

This project gave me more than just a beanie. It was so nice to have a relaxing project to work on and have something useful at the end. I highly recommend!! My advice would be to read the book and go through all the ‘basics’ videos on YouTube before diving in so you know where to find all the videos you’ll need. The beanie is a cool style and the merino wool is super soft and easy to work with. The videos are really easy to follow. I can’t wait to get started on my next project!
